Every family has special moments worth preserving. At Mary Unson Studios, we believe art can hold memory, emotion, and legacy in its texture. Our Keepsakes collection is dedicated to beautifully crafted, custom heirlooms—rattles, blocks, boxes, small objects—imbued with soul through the art of woodburning and acrylic staining.

Heirloom Rattles & Baby Blocks

• Rattles: These miniature treasures become more than a toy. We burn delicate outlines (animals, floral motifs, initials) and then stain in soft color—while preserving the feel and warmth of wood.

• Blocks: Whether alphabet blocks, memory blocks, or stacking sets, each face can carry imagery, names, dates—creating a tactile mini time capsule for a child’s hands.

• Our blocks and rattles have been 3rd party safety tested through the artisans who craft them from raw maple.  

• Rattles can be chilled to sooth babies gums during the teething phase.

• Rattles can be personalized with babies name, birth date and any other detai to create a beautiful heirloom.

  Simple keepsakes (one rattle or block) may take a few weeks; more complex sets or multi-piece commissions take longer.

• Pricing & materials
  Cost depends on size, complexity, intensity of color and number of surfaces. Premium woods and extra detail entail higher rates.

• Care & legacy tips

  • Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve color.

  • Clean with a dry, soft cloth (no harsh chemicals).

  • Display in a safe place; when passed down, tell the story behind the imagery.
